Stardust Farm was established in 1993,and is nestled on 30 lush acres in
Central Kentucky's rolling bluegrass hills.
Horses were a new venture for
my husband and me, but we were not
unfamiliar to the show ring. We had
been involved in professional dog breeding
and showing for more than 40 years.
After purchasing our first Rocky Mountain Horse,
(and many thereafter,) we
began a strict breeding program using only our
best mares and chosen stallions.
This resulted in numerous International Champions that were
able to carry us over miles of trails.
For visitors to Stardust Farm, it is also a wonderful opportunity to explore
Kentucky's great historic sites. The farm is located approximately 20 miles
south of Lexington, KY in North Garrard County between the Kentucky River
and recreational Herrington Lake.
Just north of the farm you'll find Camp
Nelson National Cemetary and Civil War Museum.
Take a scenic drive south,
and the backroads will lead you to Danville, KY,
home of the famous Pioneer Playhouse,
Kentucky's oldest outdoor theatre hand built and spanning 200
years. Nearby is the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site. In 1862,
Perryville became the site of the most destructive Civil War battle in
Kentucky. One of the nation's most unaltered Civil War sites, vistas
visible today are virtually those the soldiers saw in 1862. If that isn't
enough, then tour the beautiful city of Lexington, and visit the world
famous Kentucky Horse Park; the host of the 2010 Equine World
Games.
We welcome you to come visit Stardust Farm
when you're looking for that special Rocky Mountain Horse!
